What will you do?

Sun Life is building out its process automation capabilities, and expanding a US-based team to identify, configure, deploy and support bots and other solutions that can automate manual tasks, improve client experience and allow our employees to focus on higher-value activities. The Robotics Automation Developer is a member of the US IA team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions using Blue Prism technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RPA, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate complex business processes into efficient automated workflows. As a Blue Prism Developer, you will work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to identify automation opportunities, create process designs, and develop robust, scalable RPA solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing business operations, improving efficiency, and reducing manual workload across various departments. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining Blue Prism objects and processes, conducting thorough testing and debugging, providing technical support for existing automations, and staying current with Blue Prism best practices and new features. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our organization's digital transformation efforts, contributing to increased productivity and cost savings through innovative RPA solutions

Your scope of work / key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement robotic process automation (RPA) solutions using Blue Prism software.

• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation

• Create process diagrams and flowcharts to document automated workflows

• Develop and maintain Blue Prism objects, processes, and workflows.

• Perform testing and debugging of automated processes

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing automations

Key Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

• Blue Prism certification (Blue Prism Developer Accreditation)

• Experience with Blue Prism development and implementation

• Experience with Power Automate is an added advantage

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Kanban)

• Strong understanding of RPA concepts and methodologies

• Proficiency in SQL and database management

• Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, VB.NET

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Experience with process mapping and business analysis

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Some project work may be required outside of regular office hours to support critical timelines and deliverables, as well as collaboration with Sun Life teams in other regions
