We are looking for a talented Power BI Developer to join our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that convert complex data into meaningful insights. This role requires strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and visualization, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop
- Develop robust data models and implement advanced calculations using DAX and Power Query
- Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL databases, Excel files, APIs, and cloud services, ensuring high data quality
- Perform ETL operations for data transformation and integration
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI features and best practices
- Implement row-level security and adhere to data governance standards
- Optimize report performance and maintain existing BI solutions
- Document development processes, data models, and methodologies for future reference
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 1–4 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development
- Proficiency in:
- Power BI Desktop and Service
- DAX, Power Query, and SQL
- Data modeling and visualization best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and experience in requirement gathering
Preferred Skills
- Practical experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Exposure to Azure services such as Data Factory and Synapse Analytics
- Familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics
- Added advantage: Experience with Tableau and Snowflake
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel functions and features
- Basic understanding of:
- Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and MLOps
- Core concepts in Statistics and Probability
