Job Description

  • Assess student needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to diverse learning abilities.

  • Provide specialized instruction and modify curriculum to support academic, behavioral, and social development.

  • Implement behavior management strategies and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.

  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support student progress and adjust interventions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress, and compliance with special education guidelines.

  • Requirements
  • B.Ed or D.Ed in Special Education (mandatory or preferred based on institution requirements).

  • Certification in specific disability areas (e.g., LD, ASD, ID) is an added advantage.

  • Understanding of inclusive education practices and the RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) norms.

  • Ability to modify curriculum and instructional methods to meet diverse learner needs.

  • Proficiency in maintaining IEPs, progress reports, and student documentation.

  • Familiarity with assistive technology, adaptive tools, and remedial teaching strategies.

  • Experience working with children with special needs in school or clinical settings preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with parents, therapists, and teachers.

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors calmly.

  • Good organizational and time-management skills for planning interventions and tracking progress.
