Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a South Indian Chef at MAYFAIR Hotels & Resorts, located in Jharsuguda. The South Indian Chef will be responsible for preparing authentic South Indian cuisine, managing the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, plating, and presentation. The chef will oversee inventory management, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, and collaborate with culinary teammates to curate a memorable dining experience for guests. Additionally, the chef will ensure adherence to food safety regulations and innovate menu items while respecting traditional flavors.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in preparing a variety of authentic South Indian dishes, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian offerings
• Expertise in food presentation, plating techniques, and culinary creativity
• Knowledge of kitchen management, inventory control, and maintaining hygiene standards
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation regulations, and quality control processes
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate with culinary staff and other departments to ensure a seamless dining experience
• Relevant certifications in culinary arts or professional cooking are preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role, particularly within the hospitality or luxury sectors, is an advantage
