Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Varanasi, India, for a South Indian Chef. The South Indian Chef will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of authentic South Indian dishes, ensuring that traditional recipes are maintained and high culinary standards are achieved. Daily tasks include sourcing fresh ingredients, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, planning and managing food preparation, and collaborating with the culinary team to innovate and refine recipes. Other responsibilities include overseeing food hygiene standards and managing kitchen operations efficiently. Qualifications Proficiency in preparing and presenting a variety of authentic South Indian dishes with a deep understanding of South Indian spices and cooking techniques. Experience in kitchen operations, including food preparation, hygiene standards, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with safety standards. Strong culinary creativity and an ability to innovate while maintaining traditional flavors and authenticity. Excellent time management and organizational skills for managing kitchen operations and meeting deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Formal culinary training or a degree in Culinary Arts is preferred, with prior experience as a South Indian Chef being highly advantageous.
