Role Description

Sous Chef specializing in European cuisine



Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and executing menus focused on European cuisine (e.g., French, Italian, Mediterranean, Continental).
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring timely preparation and quality of all dishes.
  • Train, guide, and supervise junior kitchen staff and commis chefs.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness as per FSSAI norms.
  • Ensure consistency in food taste, presentation, and portioning.
  • Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with the purchase team for fresh ingredients.
  • Assist in menu development, recipe standardization, and cost control.
  • Step in as acting Head Chef when required.



Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Culinary diploma/degree from a recognized institute.
  • Minimum

    3–4 years of experience

    in a similar role, primarily in European cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of classic and modern European dishes and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
