Potboiler Coffee is a Speciality Coffee and Sandwich Shop based in Kolkata that wants to bring in Modern Cafe Culture in the City of Joy.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef located in Kolkata. The Sous Chef will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring culinary standards are met, and maintaining hygiene and food safety. The role involves overseeing food preparation, assisting in menu planning, mentoring kitchen staff, sourcing quality ingredients, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the kitchen. The Sous Chef will also collaborate with the Executive Chef and maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.

Qualifications

• Expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and ingredient selection.
• Experience in supervising kitchen staff and maintaining teamwork in fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Strong Excel, inventory management, and flow management

• Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
• Ability to assist with menu planning and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
• Formal culinary training or relevant certification is mandatory

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred.
