Rasha Bowl Pvt Ltd is a vibrant and exciting restaurant in Calicut, dedicated to providing a high-quality healthy dining experience. We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Sous Chef.

Reports To: Head Chef / Executive Chef

Job Summary:
The Sous Chef acts as the second-in-command, assisting the Head Chef in all kitchen operations, managing staff, overseeing food preparation, controlling costs, and maintaining exemplary food quality and sanitation standards to ensure exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen Operations: Assist Head Chef with daily food production, preparation, and service delivery, ensuring timely execution.
  • Staff Management: Supervise, train, mentor, schedule, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive, efficient, and compliant work environment.
  • Menu & Recipe Development: Contribute to menu planning, recipe creation, and plate presentation, ensuring consistency and innovation.
  • Quality Control: Monitor food quality, portion control, cooking standards, and ensure adherence to established recipes.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Manage stock levels, assist with ordering, receiving, and proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce strict food safety, sanitation (HACCP, Board of Health), and safety regulations (OSHA), ensuring cleanliness of all kitchen areas.
  • Leadership: Step in for the Head Chef when needed, handle issues, and drive culinary vision.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar supervisory culinary role (e.g., Chef de Partie).
  • Strong culinary background with diverse cooking techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and problem-solve effectively.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, costing, and POS systems.
  • Relevant culinary education/certification (e.g., diploma, Food Safe cert).

Benefits: Competitive salary: ₹25,000 - ₹35,000 per month.
