Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef at Hyatt Ahmedabad. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting in the management and organization of kitchen operations, supervising and training kitchen staff, and ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation. The role includes overseeing inventory, managing food costs, and adhering to health and safety regulations. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to develop menu concepts and deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests at the hotel.

Qualifications

Strong culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety practices
Experience in menu planning, recipe development, and quality control
Team leadership and management skills, including staff training and scheduling
Proficiency in inventory management and understanding of food costing to optimize efficiency
Strong understanding and adherence to hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards
Excellent time management and organizational skills
A diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related field; prior experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining environment preferred
Experience with international cuisine and fine dining will be an advantage
Passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences with attention to detail and presentation
