Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled

Senior Backend Software Engineer

with strong expertise in

Java

,

Spring Boot

,

microservices architecture

, and

GraphQL

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, cloud-native applications deployed on

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust backend services and APIs that power enterprise-grade systems.This is a senior-level position requiring hands-on engineering capability, leadership in code quality, architectural contributions, and the ability to mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Microservices Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• GraphQL API Implementation: Lead the development of GraphQL schemas and resolvers, ensuring optimized data access and flexible client interactions.
• Cloud Deployment (GCP): Utilize GCP services such as GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage to deploy, monitor, and optimize applications.
• API Design: Develop secure and high-performance RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring documentation and usability.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Use tools like Dynatrace for application performance monitoring and proactively resolve issues and bottlenecks.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders; mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Promote and enforce clean code practices, test coverage, and security/compliance standards across the codebase.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10 years of hands-on experience in Java-based backend development.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Java, Spring Boot
• Microservices Architecture
• GraphQL
• GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
• Confluent Kafka
• Dynatrace (for monitoring)
• Experience with Agile methodologies and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (required)
