We help organizations grow, innovate, and become more efficient and effective, in a trusted and secure way, through information management.OpenText is looking to extend the information management advantage to the Internet of Things which is projected to collect, analyze, and visualize data from trillions of devices.As a Software Engineer, you will utilize superior knowledge and experience to perform highly complex product design, systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities. These would cut across various systems and devices. At the core will be the need to drive future technology implementations for the next generation Internet of Things Cloud.
What The Role Offers
- Produce high-quality code according to design specifications.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix highly complex code defects.
- Propose creative solutions or alternatives balancing risk, complexity, and effort to meet requirements.
- Work across teams and functional roles to ensure interoperability among other products, including training and consultation.
- Participate in the software development process from design to release in an Agile Development Framework.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of product development experience
- In-depth knowledge in Java & SQL
- Experience with Angular is a plus
- Basic knowledge of AWS cloud
- Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Spring Boot
- Fundamentally good programming and debugging skills
- Strong hands-on experience with building enterprise applications
- Knowledge of Web Services and RESTful APIs
- Contribute to the continual improvement of our agile development processes
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on processes and code.
- Experience working with groups of people across several geographies
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Internet of Things experience is a strong plus
