Role Overview

QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute

  manual test cases

  for new features and bug fixes
• Build and maintain

  automated test scripts

  using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar
• Perform

  functional, regression, integration

  , and

  API testing

• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Collaborate with developers to debug issues and drive fixes
• Set up and maintain test environments, CI/CD pipelines for automation
• Contribute to release planning and ensure a high-quality product is delivered
• Track and report bugs using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar
• Proactively improve QA processes and suggest tools and techniques for test efficiency

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in

  manual and automation testing

• Solid understanding of

  software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

• Strong experience with

  Selenium, Playwright, Cypress

  , or similar frameworks
• Good knowledge of

  JavaScript, Python, or Java

  for automation scripting
• Experience in

  API testing

  using

  Postman

  ,

  RestAssured

  , or similar
• Experience with

  version control (Git)

  and

  CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

• Ability to identify, isolate, and document bugs clearly and concisely
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes

Nice to Have

• Experience in

  performance testing

  (JMeter, Gatling)
• Exposure to

  AI/ML-based products

  or EVALs
• Prior experience working in

  early-stage startups

• Knowledge of test coverage tools and static code analysis
