Software Development Engineer II

ROLE SUMMARY

SDE II

This role is ideal for someone who has strong programming skills, experience in automation, and a passion for building reliable, testable, and maintainable software systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and tools.
• Create and execute robust test plans and test cases (manual & automated) for web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and identify test coverage gaps.
• Drive test automation adoption across the team by mentoring and contributing reusable components.
• Perform API testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and regression testing.
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines integrate with automated test suites for continuous quality validation.
• Debug issues, analyze root causes, and contribute to code fixes or test improvements.
• Contribute to performance, scalability, and security testing initiatives.
• Participate in code reviews for automation scripts and test frameworks.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering

• Experience: 4-6 years in software testing and automation (with at least 2 years in an SDET/QA automation role).

• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks for flutter and React Native Technologies like Selenium,, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Detox, or Appium.

• Experience in API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured etc.).

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).

• Good understanding of software testing methodologies: functional, regression, performance, load, security.

• Strong problem-solving skills and debugging expertise.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with

  cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with

  BDD frameworks

  (Cucumber, SpecFlow, Behave).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust, Gatling).
• Exposure to monitoring tools and observability practices.
