A dynamic group of Pega Lead System Architects, Senior System Architects, and open-source engineers who are modernizing dispute and fraud processing at enterprise scale.
We design and build cloud-ready, event-driven Pega solutions that power critical customer experiences—leveraging advanced Pega frameworks like Smart Disputes, workflow automation, real-time integrations, and modern engineering practices to transform legacy capabilities. Our team is also actively exploring Pega GenAI capabilities to bring intelligent automation and next-generation decisioning into our platforms.

How will you make an impact in this role?
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pega Engineer with 5–6+ years of hands-on experience in Pega PRPC. The ideal candidate will help us modernize and scale the Case Management Platform using the latest Pega Infinity and GenAI-powered capabilities. This role involves solving complex workflow problems, enhancing customer servicing journeys, and contributing to the strategic evolution of AMEX’s enterprise case management ecosystem. You should be able to:
Build highly scalable, resilient, and intuitive case management workflows that directly impact the servicing experience of millions of American Express customers.
Leverage Pega’s latest features, including Constellation UI, App Studio, and GenAI tools, to build modern, intelligent, and adaptive applications.
Bring innovation by integrating AI-driven automation, decisioning models, and next-gen features that accelerate customer case resolution.
Improve system performance, reduce manual efforts, and contribute to seamless customer journeys by automating high-volume operational processes.
Collaborate with global teams — product, architecture, engineering, and operations — to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance enterprise applications using Pega PRPC, Pega Infinity, and case management frameworks.
Design modern customer servicing journeys using App Studio, Constellation UI, and Pega GenAI capabilities.
Create end-to-end workflow solutions integrating APIs, services, and front-end components.
Lead solution design discussions and convert complex business requirements into sustainable Pega solutions.
Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
Integrate Pega applications with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs or messaging frameworks.
Drive process automation, AI-assisted decisioning, and intelligent routing features.
Work closely with architects and platform teams to ensure alignment with enterprise patterns and guardrails.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required; advanced degree
Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external business partners on architecture and solution design
5–6+ years of strong, hands-on experience in Pega PRPC application development.
Experience with Pega case management, workflow automation, and customer servicing frameworks.
Practical understanding of Pega rule types, data pages, flows, activities, UI rules, and integrations.
Experience working with Pega Infinity, App Studio, Constellation UI, and DX API.
Understanding of Pega GenAI features (e.g., AI-assisted development, decisioning, predictions).
Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in Agile development environments with tools such as JIRA or Rally.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to or working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, or related backend/frontend technologies.
Experience with cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, Docker, GCP/AWS).
Knowledge of API integrations, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
Pega certifications such as:
CSA (Certified System Architect)
CSSA (Certified Senior System Architect)
CLSA (Certified Lead System Architect)
Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments, preferably in financial services or regulated domains.
Prior experience implementing AI/ML-driven decisioning within Pega is a strong advantage.
