Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Drive user story analysis and elaboration, design and develop software applications, and test and build automation tools
  
• Own all technical aspects of software development (architecture, design and development of systems) for assigned applications
  
• Perform hands-on software development, API specs, doing proof of concepts, conducting code reviews and testing in ongoing sprints
  
• Drive consistent development practices - tools and common components
  
• Develop deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domains
  
• Identify opportunities for adopting new technology to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges
  
• Effectively communicate to internal and external business partners on solution design

• 
  Have at least 3+ years of experience in Backend Java/ Kotlin Development
• Strong understanding of core Java / Kotlin, SOLID principles, design patterns and data modelling techniques.
• Familiarity with Maven and Gradle for build automation.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.). 
• 
  Hands-on experience of building React components for UI development
• Develop, test, and maintain backend Java / Kotlin applications. Experience with unit testing, test-driven development and integration testing.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc. 
• 
  Experience with version control systems like Git. 
• 
  Collaborate towards architecture and clean code discussions
• Are comfortable working in an environment based on Agile development methodologies
