Software Engineer Consultant/Expert – SAP BTP Integration

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced

SAP BTP Integration Suite / CPI Consultant

to architect and implement integration solutions across diverse enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in integration technologies, strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP, and the ability to work across SAP and non-SAP landscapes to build scalable, secure, and efficient integrations. This is a highly technical and collaborative role requiring a proactive and detail-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop robust, scalable integration solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
Build and configure custom and standard iFlows for integrating SAP and non-SAP systems.
Implement interface mappings, message transformations, and data flow optimization across varied protocols and landscapes.
Utilize SAP Event Mesh to enable real-time, event-driven architectures using publish-subscribe and message routing mechanisms.
Work with Groovy scripts, value mapping, and error handling mechanisms for advanced integration scenarios.
Configure adapters such as File/FTP, RFC, IDOC, HTTP, ODATA, REST, JDBC, SOAP, and manage ABAP proxies.
Integrate and test APIs using tools like POSTMAN/Hoppscotch, and manage API execution and security.
Participate in the transportation of design/configuration objects using CTS or file-based mechanisms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, middleware teams, and functional consultants.
Prepare technical documentation such as design specs, interface definitions, architecture diagrams, and operational manuals.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for integration issues.
Ensure integration security by implementing best practices around authentication, authorization, and secure data transfer.
Keep current with evolving SAP integration technologies and industry best practices.

Must-Have Skills

Strong experience in SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI)
Proficient in interface development, including integration flows (iFlows)
Hands-on with SAP adapters (IDOC, SOAP, OData, REST, JDBC, etc.)
Experience in SAP Event Mesh, API Management, and Cloud Connector
Working knowledge of Groovy scripting, XML, and JSON
Understanding of SAP Activate Methodology
Experience with transportation tools and CTS
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

Exposure to REST / OData APIs, SAP API Business Hub
Familiarity with cloud platforms and cloud connectors
Industry background in automotive or manufacturing is a plus
SAP BTP Integration Suite Certification is a strong advantage

Experience

Required: Minimum 5 years in SAP integration development
Preferred: Experience in large enterprise environments and manufacturing domains

Education

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Preferred: Master’s Degree or additional SAP certifications
