Software Development Manager

Job Title: Software Development Manager Location: Bengaluru, India Job Type: Full-time Introduction: We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our dynamic team in designing and developing a state-of-the-art cloud based SaaS application. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical acumen with hands-on experience in backend and frontend technologies and a proven track record of leading software development teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of software developers and QA engineers, skilled in Java, Python, React, and Node.js in the development of our SaaS application. Manage the entire software development lifecycle including planning, design, development, deployment, and maintenance. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and operational teams to ensure that the software solution aligns with company goals, customer needs, and operational requirements. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, encouraging best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability. Review and approve proposed development releases and manage the release process. Monitor technology trends and ensure the team is integrating new technology into the application architecture as appropriate. Ensure the creation of scalable, maintainable, and reliable high-quality software. Support the professional development of team members through coaching, performance management, and goal setting. Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as reporting, team performance evaluations, and recruitment. Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 10 to 15 years of experience in software development and 5+ years in a leadership role managing technical teams. Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React and Node.js. Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS, and understanding of SaaS application architecture. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with microservices architecture. GIS experience will be a plus Demonstrated experience in the full software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead projects from concept to deployment. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills capable of motivating and guiding a team of developers.
