Job Description

Role & Responsibilities
  • Design, build and maintain scalable back-end services with NestJS and Node.js, implementing robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Develop responsive, production-grade front-end applications using Next.js and React—optimising for SSR, SEO and client performance.
  • Integrate databases (SQL & NoSQL), caching layers, and third-party services while ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Own feature delivery end-to-end: requirements, implementation, testing, deployment and production support within Agile teams.
  • Write clean, well-tested TypeScript code, setup CI/CD pipelines, containerise services (Docker) and collaborate on deployment automation.
  • Drive performance tuning, code reviews, and platform reliability improvements with a focus on maintainability and observability.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 5+ years professional experience building full-stack web applications using TypeScript, Node.js, React and modern frameworks.
  • Proven hands-on experience with NestJS for server-side architecture and Next.js for production front-ends (SSR/SSG).
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and GraphQL; experience with authentication, authorization and secure coding practices.
  • Practical experience with databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB or similar), caching (Redis) and query optimisation.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with containerisation (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Experience with automated testing (Jest/Playwright), performance profiling, observability (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
