The service supports mission-critical requirements for both Oracle business units and external customers. Our platform delivers billions of emails each month and is built to handle dramatic bursts in demand, achieving the performance, security, and compliance expected from global enterprises.You’ll join a team working on complex real-world challenges, such as optimizing delivery for dynamic workloads, preventing abuse, handling elastic scaling, and building new features for a diverse range of customers and OCI services. Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the OCI Email Delivery team, you will design, build, and optimize cloud-scale backend services with deep hands-on coding to solve complex distributed systems challenges.
- Contribute to the design and development of robust, scalable, and secure cloud services for high-volume email delivery.
- Enhance service performance and reliability to meet the needs of diverse customers and use cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and continuously improve the service.
- Build and maintain tools that improve automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve issues to ensure service availability and a seamless customer experience.
- Participate in code reviews and help foster a culture of technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software development experience, ideally in large-scale distributed or cloud systems.
- Hands-on coding experience with C, C++, and Java
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
- Strong fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
- Proven success delivering production-grade software across the full lifecycle, including design, development, deployment, and operation, preferably in mission-critical or tier-one environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and systematic troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communicator and collaborator, with a passion for teamwork and mentorship in a global, fast-paced environment.
