We are currently looking for developers to join the organization for Customer Experience (CX) Cloud. Our department is the DevOps within the Cloud Engineering organization. As Oracle continues to aggressively move towards a full range of Cloud Solutions, we want you to join our team and directly be responsible for supporting, developing, and delivering these solutionsto our customers. One primary focus for our team is to produce the software tools that Oracle uses to monitor, patch, troubleshoot, data mine and metric reporting on behalf of our Oracle Cloud Customers. These focus areas play a pivotal role to ensure we can gain the most efficiencies and scale appropriately which ultimately benefit our customers.We operate using agile principles and currently have teams located in Canada, U.S. and India.

Responsibilities

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will work closely with product development teams to build standards that drivethe highest levels of availability across the SaaS environment. You will join a team that provides 24/7 support and areexpected to develop automated solutions to support monitoring services, while responding to incidents.If you were to join our team, you would be expected to:

• Provide production support and respond to production incidents as the first line of defense for the organization
• Drive monitoring requirements to ensure service level visibility for all support teams
• Introduce new and impactful technologies to production support to help minimize defect resolution time
  

Qualifications

• Understanding in DevOps logistics
• Experience in working in a distributed team model with daily hand off of issues during shift changes
• Broad technical field exposure in Cloud Infrastructure, VM, load balancing, databases, networking
• Proficient in analyzing the various server logs, heap and thread dumps for Root Cause Analysis
• Familiar with scripting in Linux Shell, python, perl, PHP etc
• Knowledge in java/J2EE technologies, REST framework, database analysis and development
• Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, DaaS platform

• Experienced in performance analysis and triaging
• Deep debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Strong in database tuning
• A great team player yet independent on getting to results
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiar with Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, etc
  

Education:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
