The role

As our Social Media Manager you will be responsible for owning the content strategy and execution for a portfolio of clients. You’ll shape both the creative side (ideas, scripts, content flow) and the hands-on side (filming/editing short and long form video, reels, podcasts, ads, posts). Your mission: create and publish engaging content that builds community, drives audience growth and supports business objectives.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop compelling social media strategies for each client: define goals, target audiences, channel mix, content themes, publishing cadence.
  • Produce both short-form (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and long-form content (e.g., YouTube videos, podcasts, IGTV, LinkedIn).
  • Write scripts/outlines, shoot and edit video content, podcast episodes, promotional ads and social-specific clips.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, copywriters and account managers to ensure consistent brand voice and visuals.
  • Publish content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok etc.), optimise for each channel.
  • Monitor social metrics (engagement, reach, conversions) and provide insights and recommendations on what’s working, what’s not.
  • Stay on top of social trends, tools and platforms — bringing fresh ideas to keep our clients ahead of the curve.
  • Manage content calendar(s) for multiple clients, ensure timely delivery of assets, coordinate with client feedback loops.
  • Assist in creating paid social media ad content (video/bannering) when required.
Skills & experience we’re looking for
  • Proven experience (2-4 years or more) in social media content creation & management — especially video/podcast production.
  • Strong proficiency in video filming and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent mobile apps).
  • Experience in audio production/editing (podcast recording, clean-up, publishing) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of platform optimisation: what works on Instagram vs LinkedIn vs YouTube, etc.
  • Excellent storytelling ability — able to translate a brand or campaign brief into engaging content.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency or client-facing environment, handling multiple clients/projects.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills — able to manage content calendars, deadlines and revisions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal — able to present ideas to clients and internal teams.
  • Up-to-date with social media trends, tools and best practices; keen to experiment and learn.
  • A creative mindset: you bring ideas rather than just executing them.
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience working with B2B / professional service clients (not just consumer brands).
  • Experience creating podcast series or long-form video content.
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., using Canva, Illustrator) for quick social edits.
  • A portfolio or reel showcasing your video/social media content work.
