Job Title: Site Supervisor 

Job Description: 

The Supervisor – Crane Rail Installation will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site activities related to crane rail installation. This includes planning daily tasks, ensuring quality and safety compliance, coordinating manpower and materials, and maintaining effective communication between the site team and the client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day site activities related to crane rail installation, including layout, soleplate fixing, rail welding, and alignment.

• Coordinate with surveyors, welders, helpers, and subcontractors to ensure timely task execution.

• Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed at the worksite, including use of PPE and safe operation of tools and lifting equipment.

• Conduct safety inductions and maintain documentation such as attendance, safety checklists, and daily progress reports.

• Liaise with the client and internal project team for work front availability, material clearances, and progress updates.

• Monitor usage of materials like anchor bolts, soleplates, welding electrodes, and grout; raise indent for additional materials as required.

• Ensure quality control through visual inspection, levelling checks, and coordination for NDT/UT testing of welds.

• Support final alignment, grouting supervision, and torquing of bolts and clips.

• Handle site handover and assist with billing documentation after job completion.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or relevant technical trade (preferred).

• 3–5 years of hands-on supervisory experience in crane rail or industrial rail installation.

• Sound knowledge of rail installation techniques (fish plate, thermit, puddle arc welding).

• Familiarity with survey instruments, basic drawings, and alignment procedures.

• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage labor and resolve minor site-level issues independently.
