Job Title: Sales Manager cum Business Development Manager ⸻ Role Summary: This hybrid role merges technical expertise with strategic sales and business development. The individual is responsible for understanding complex technical products or services, presenting tailored solutions to clients, and identifying growth opportunities to expand the company’s market reach. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: Sales Engineering Duties: • Understand and explain technical products/services to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Conduct product demonstrations and pre-sales consultations. • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to tailor solutions to client needs. • Respond to RFPs/RFQs with technical documentation and proposals. Business Development Duties: • Identify new market opportunities and potential clients. • Build and maintain client relationships to drive long-term business. • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets. • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions. • Negotiate contracts and close deals. Combined Responsibilities: • Act as a bridge between the sales and engineering teams. • Provide feedback to product development based on customer requirements. • Prepare technical and commercial presentations and proposals. ⸻ Key Skills Required: • Strong technical knowledge (Industry-specific: e.g., Mechanical engineering, Fabrication, Steel, industrial automation). • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Sales acumen and strategic thinking. • Relationship management and negotiation skills. • CRM and sales tools proficiency. ⸻ Educational & Experience Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technology, or a related field (MBA is a plus). • 4–6 years of experience in sales or business development roles. • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets. Salary range: Rs. 8 to 10 Lacs PA (Fixed + Variable) as per qualification, merit & experience. PF/ESIC available as per statutory norms. Salary is not a constraint to the deserving candidate as per merits.
