CNC laser cutting operator

You will be joining Gallant Technical Solutions Pvt Ltd. as a CNC laser cutting operator in the Sheet Metal position. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to cut, bend, or punch sheet metal parts as per engineering drawings and specifications. Your attention to detail and experience in working with various sheet metals and CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment will be crucial for this position. Key Responsibilities: - Operating CNC machines (laser cutters, turret punches, press brakes, etc.) for sheet metal processing. - Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machine setup and production methods. - Loading and unloading sheet metal materials into CNC machinery. - Monitoring machine operations and adjusting settings to ensure accurate and quality production. - Performing routine maintenance on machines and troubleshooting minor issues. - Inspecting finished parts using measurement tools (callipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet quality standards. - Maintaining a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations. - Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules. - Recording production data and reporting deviations or equipment malfunctions. Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining is a plus. - Proven experience as a CNC operator in a sheet metal fabrication environment. - Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and G-code programming is desirable. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing instructions. - Basic knowledge of material properties (stainless steel, aluminum, galvanized, etc.). - Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and manual dexterity. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. - Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required. Preferred Skills: - Experience with Amada, Trumpf, or similar CNC equipment. - Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S principles. - Forklift or crane operation certification. Certifications in CNC programming, laser cutting, or a related field, experience with CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar, and knowledge of quality control standards like ISO 9001 are additional skills that would be beneficial for this role.
