Job Description

The Site Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining all site-level financial and accounting activities, including expense recording, vendor payments, cash management, and reporting. The role ensures financial discipline at the project site in line with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts & Finance Management
  • Maintain day-to-day site accounts including petty cash, advances, and reimbursements.
  • Record all financial transactions accurately in ledgers and accounting systems.
  • Verify and process bills, vouchers, and vendor invoices related to site activities.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Assist in monitoring project budgets and controlling site expenses.
  • Ensure all expenditures are within approved limits and supported by documentation.
  • Report variances between budgeted and actual expenses.
  • Vendor & Payroll Support
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for timely processing of bills and payments.
  • Support in maintaining labor wage registers, attendance, and salary disbursement at site level.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory deductions like PF, ESI, TDS, etc. (if applicable).
  • Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain proper records of site accounts for audit and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure timely submission of daily/weekly/monthly financial reports to Head Office.
  • Support statutory filings by providing accurate site-level financial data.
  • Coordination & Support
  • Liaise with project teams and HO accounts for approvals and reconciliations.
  • Assist in stock verification and material reconciliation with store in-charge.
  • Provide financial inputs for project progress reports.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP / SAP / MS Excel.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently at remote site locations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.Com / M.Com or MBA (Finance/Accounts).
  • 5–10 years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction/infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of taxation (GST, TDS) and compliance will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
