Job Summary:

The Quality Incharge will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety in the potato flakes production line. The role involves implementing and monitoring quality systems, leading the QA/QC team, conducting inspections, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control all quality parameters at every stage of potato flake processing—from raw material to final product.
• Lead a team of quality analysts and ensure proper testing of raw potatoes, intermediate, and finished products.
• Maintain records and documentation as per FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, and customer audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, and food safety protocols throughout the production line.
• Conduct regular plant hygiene inspections, line verifications, and internal audits.
• Handle customer complaints, investigate root causes, and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
• Develop and maintain product specifications, sampling plans, and testing protocols.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and procurement teams to ensure quality standards are met.
• Train and mentor quality team members to build strong quality culture across the unit.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and customers during inspections and audits.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control in a food processing unit (potato flakes or similar).
• Strong understanding of food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in lab testing of food products, moisture analysis, and in-process quality checks.
• Knowledge of process parameters for potato flakes manufacturing.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

• Experience in potato flakes or dehydrated products industry.
• Exposure to export quality standards and customer audits.
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
