Services Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Commissioning
• Supervise or assist in installing elevator systems in new buildings.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of elevators to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Maintenance & Servicing
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of faults.
• Repairs & Upgrades
• Replace or repair faulty components such as motors, cables, control systems, doors, etc.
• Upgrade older systems to comply with modern safety standards.
• Safety & Compliance
• Follow safety regulations and company policies during all operations.
• Ensure elevators meet local codes and standards (e.g., EN 81, ASME A17.1).
• Customer Interaction
• Liaise with clients and building managers to schedule maintenance or report issues.
• Provide technical advice or recommendations on elevator usage or upgrades.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain service records and logs.
• Report technical findings and complete job sheets.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Familiarity with safety standards and elevator regulations.
• Communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• Certification or training in elevator technology (optional but beneficial).
• Experience with major elevator brands like Otis, KONE, Schindler, or ThyssenKrupp is an asset.
