Job Description

Job Title: ServiceNow Engineer – ITOM

Experience: 6+ Years Location: Chennai (Work from Office) Shift Timing: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Only

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled ServiceNow Engineer with strong expertise in IT Operations Management (ITOM) modules. The ideal candidate will design, configure, and optimize ServiceNow ITOM solutions to enhance automation, monitoring, and visibility across the organization’s IT infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are passionate about ServiceNow platform development, integration, and process automation in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and implement ServiceNow ITOM modules including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.
Integrate ServiceNow with third-party monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
Ensure CMDB data accuracy and maintain proper configuration item (CI) relationships.
Develop and automate IT operations workflows using ServiceNow scripts, Flow Designer, and Orchestration.
Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and development teams to align ITOM functionalities with business objectives.
Troubleshoot and resolve ITOM-related issues and optimize system performance.
Maintain compliance with ServiceNow best practices and governance standards.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and provide user training as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

6–9 years of total IT experience with 3+ years in ServiceNow ITOM.
Strong hands-on experience with Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.
Solid understanding of ServiceNow architecture, data model, and integration capabilities.
Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, and ServiceNow APIs.
Experience integrating ServiceNow with monitoring and APM tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
Working knowledge of ITIL and ITSM principles.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

Knowledge of ITSM, ITAM, or SecOps modules within ServiceNow.
Experience with ServiceNow Discovery Patterns, Flow Designer, or Orchestration.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CIS–ITOM, or CAD are preferred.
