As a Server Engineer you design and plan server infrastructure; you design standardsand processes to ensure scalable and reliable server architectures that are highlyavailable.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the second or third point of contact for other technology stack teams seeking technical support in relation to Server Infrastructure.
- On major changes and as an escalation point can support implementations as required by management.
- Adhere to and assist with continual improvements to the overall Architecture standards and application roadmap for the Server and Storage infrastructure.
- Creates and defines Systems design/requirements for documentation in support of PL153 either for New Customer Launches and or complex Move Add Changes.
- Develop the Design standards and document our roadmap for Microsoft technologies such as: Active Directory, Azure AD, Identity SSO, Desktop as a Service.
- Researches, develops new solutions and designs for them in a manner that improves and pushes forward automation initiatives to optimize time to deploy (Infrastructure as Code).
- Perform peer reviews and approval on Method of Procedures for Changes to be implemented by Server Administrators, ensuring that they are consistent with the architecture frameworks.
- Performs effective capacity management and sizing to ensure correct budget is in place to continue supporting current infrastructure including organic growth, new launches, Mergers and Acquisitions and integrations.

- Records interactions into the ticketing system ensuring accurate and complete ticket updates on either requests or incidents.

- Contributes to the definition of Standard Operating procedures and technology Standards.
- Contributes to Knowledge Base development.
- Able to effectively project costs for maintenance of legacy and /or new technologies to be acquired/implemented.
- Strong documentation skills required to define TA357 & PL153 Documents along with SOPs and Diagrams.
- Acts as Technology Stack SME.
Qualifications
- B1/B2 - English Written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor Degree of any IT related career and minimum of 3+ years experience in a systems development role.
- Excellent customer/client handling skills very good problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Virtualization Proxmox VE Bundle Certified Professional (desirable)
- Experience in entire Windows Stack. MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional(desirable).
- Linux administration, including shell scripting and other automation languages.
- Experience in Infrastructure Management, Physical Servers, Physical Storage, etc.
- Netapp ONTAP professional certification (desirable)
- Good Cloud Knowledge & interaction in any/all of these technologies: GCP, Azure, AWS. GCP Cloud Engineer, Architect (desirable) / AWS Associate SysOps Admin (desirable).
- IaC Tools experience - aurotmation (Terraform, Python, YAML, Typescript).
- Experience certificate management solutions.
- Experience in backup solutions Veeam, Veritas.
