Server Engineer

As a Server Engineer at Isha Foundation in Coimbatore, your role involves the following key responsibilities: - **Server Management:** Install, configure, and maintain server hardware for optimal performance and security in both Windows and Linux environments. - **Active Directory:** Manage user accounts, security groups, organizational units, and group policies for Windows servers and Endpoints. - **Print Server Management:** Set up and maintain the print server to ensure seamless printing services for network-connected devices. - **VMware ESXi and vCenter:** Deploy, manage, and monitor VMware ESXi hosts and virtual machines supporting both Windows and Linux workloads. - **Windows Server Administration:** Manage and maintain Windows Server operating systems including installation, patching, and security hardening. - **Linux Server Administration:** Manage and maintain Linux server operating systems such as CentOS, Ubuntu, and Red Hat. - **SAN and NAS Management:** Configure and maintain SAN and NAS devices for data availability and performance. - **Troubleshooting:** Identify and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. - **Security and Compliance:** Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards. - **Backup and Disaster Recovery:** Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for data integrity and continuity. - **Collaboration:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize server performance and resolve integration-related issues. - **Capacity Planning:** Monitor server resources, analyze usage patterns, and perform capacity planning for future infrastructure needs. - **On-Call Support:** Provide on-call support for server-related emergencies and participate in the on-call rotation schedule. Job Requirements: - 3-4 years of experience as a Server Engineer with expertise in managing Dell servers, Active Directory, print server, VMware ESXi, vCenter, Proxmox, SAN, NAS, Windows servers, and Linux servers. - Industry certifications in relevant technologies are highly advantageous. - Strong knowledge of server hardware architecture, VMware virtualization technologies, SAN and NAS management, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. - Familiarity with networking concepts and strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex server-related issues. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors. - Flexibility to work outside regular business hours for maintenance, upgrades, and on-call support.
