SEO Expert

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SEO Expert with proven experience to lead organic growth initiatives and collaborate closely with our media/ad campaigns team. The role involves optimising website performance, strengthening organic reach, improving conversion funnels, and coordinating with the paid marketing team to maximize overall digital performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website & Content Optimization

• Perform on-page optimization: keyword integration, meta tags, title optimization, content structuring.
• Optimize existing course pages, blog pages, workshop pages, location pages, and student success stories.
• Identify thin-content pages and work with the content team to improve them.

2. Keyword Research & Strategy

• Create monthly keyword buckets for all core courses.
• Build keyword clusters and intent-based strategies (informational, navigational, commercial).
• Analyze competitor keywords and bring new ranking opportunities.

3. Technical SEO

• Conduct monthly technical audits (Broken links, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, sitemap, indexing issues).
• Coordinate with the website developer to fix issues.
• Improve page speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall site health.

4. Blog Strategy & Publishing

• Create blog topics aligned to trending search terms and course-specific queries.
• Manage HubSpot blog publishing (templates, H1/H2 usage, tags, structure).
• Ensure every blog follows SEO guidelines and internal linking rules.

5. Off-Page SEO

• Build high-quality backlinks through ethical strategies.
• Manage directory submission, educational listings, and local SEO listings.
• Improve Google Business Profile ranking for Mavelikara & Thiruvalla.

6. Tracking, Reporting & Improvements

• Maintain a daily SEO performance sheet (organic traffic, ranking changes, backlinks, issues identified).
• Weekly improvement report to Campaign Manager.
• Set up Google Search Console, Analytics, Tag Manager tracking for new pages.
• Monitor performance of blog pages, course pages, FAQ pages & workshop pages.

7. Collaboration

• Work closely with the content writer for optimized blogs & landing pages.
• Work with media team to ensure pages support paid ads landing requirements.
• Coordinate with the tech/web team for fixes & updates.

Performance Metrics

The SEO specialist will be evaluated based on:

• Monthly ranking improvement for priority keywords
• Increase in organic leads & organic traffic
• Number of technical issues identified + solved
• Number of optimized pages per month
• Quality backlinks generated
• Blog performance (views, average time on page, CTR)
• Google Business Profile ranking improvements
• Monthly website health score improvement

Requirements

• 1–4 years experience in SEO
• Strong knowledge of On-Page, Off-Page, and Technical SEO
• Familiarity with HubSpot CMS & HubSpot Blog (added advantage)
• Good understanding of educational keywords and course search intent
• Hands-on experience with tools like GSC, GA4, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog
• Ability to create SEO reports and insights
• Basic HTML understanding is a plus
• Strong communication & coordination skills

Bonus Skills

• Experience in ranking course pages
• Knowledge of content writing
• Understanding of how SEO supports paid ad campaigns
• Familiarity with Kerala-based keywords & local SEO

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
