Senior UX Designer

As a Senior UX Designer at GE Vernova, you will play a crucial role in designing intuitive and engaging user experiences for our suite of products within Grid Software. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create user-centered designs that solve complex problems and meet the needs of our customers. Your work will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of energy grids worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the UX design process from concept to delivery, ensuring a user-centered approach throughout.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design ideas and solutions.
• Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across products.
• Advocate for best practices in UX design and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design.

Heres what you will bring:

Education.

Bachelors degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

Experience.

• 5+ years of work experience with a minimum of 3-5 years in UI/UX with a B2B/B2C product company with an emphasis on creating rich user experiences.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and demonstrating proficiency in UX design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD).
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
