Job Description

As a Senior Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end travel arrangements for individual and corporate clients. This role demands in-depth knowledge of global travel destinations, fare structures, ticketing systems, and excellent customer service skills. You will also mentor junior consultants, handle high-value bookings, and ensure client satisfaction through expert advice and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Client Consultation:

    Understand client requirements and provide tailor-made travel solutions.
  • Booking & Ticketing:

    Arrange flights, hotels, transfers, car hire, and travel insurance using GDS systems like Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre.
  • Fare Construction:

    Apply knowledge of fare rules, discounts, consolidator fares, and best deals, especially for complex itineraries.
  • Upselling & Cross-Selling:

    Maximize revenue through the sale of travel extras (upgrades, tours, insurance).
  • Customer Support:

    Handle pre- and post-booking queries and complaints professionally.
  • Team Supervision:

    Guide and support junior consultants, ensuring best practices and quality standards.
  • Supplier Coordination:

    Communicate and negotiate with airlines, tour operators, and DMCs for group bookings or special arrangements.
  • Administrative Duties:

    Maintain accurate booking records, issue invoices, handle payments, and monitor outstanding balances.
  • Compliance:

    Ensure adherence to industry regulations, data privacy laws, and internal policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    Minimum 0–1 years in a travel consultancy or agency role, with international travel exposure.
  • Systems Knowledge:

    Proficiency in GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre).
  • Sales Acumen:

    Strong knowledge of travel products, promotions, and sales strategies.
  • Customer Focused:

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail:

    Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Geographic Knowledge:

    Good understanding of destinations, visa requirements, and travel advisories.
  • IT Skills:

    Competence in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and booking platforms.
  • Languages:

    Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
