Senior Tech Lead

Job Title: Senior Tech Lead – Mobile Development (iOS & Android) Location: Bangalore, India Job OverviewSKF is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tech Lead – Mobile Development to join our Bearing Digital Team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of mobile applications for bearing replacements, bearing damage analysis, and precision bearing calculations. The work spans iOS, Android, and Progressive Web Applications (PWAs). You will guide a talented team of developers, provide technical leadership, and ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end development of SKF Bearing Assist, Super Precision Bearing Manager mobile apps, and Bearing Analysis Report Tool PWA. Actively participate in product discovery alongside designers and product owners/managers. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to deliver world-class mobile solutions. Establish and maintain best practices in coding, architecture, and security. Conduct code reviews and ensure high standards of performance and maintainability. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and mobile development best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure application stability and performance. Continuously improve development processes, tools, and methodologies. Required Qualifications & SkillsProven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Mobile Developer with expertise in both iOS and Android platforms. Proficiency in Swift, Kotlin, and Java. Experience with development tools/frameworks such as Xcode, Android Studio, Jetpack Compose, and React Native. Awareness of cross-platform technologies like KMM, MAUI, or Flutter. Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools for project management, version control, CI/CD, and collaboration. Familiarity with GitHub workflows and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively. Strong communication and leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring and inspiring teams. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
