WSP is currently seeking a Sr. System Engineer to join our Rail Systems Engineering team in India. You will work collaboratively with a team of Specialists across rail & transit disciplines (Systems Engineering, Signals, Electrification Systems, Data Communications, and Project Controls), Project Managers, Systems Engineers, Signals Engineers, Analysts, and Coordinators.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for administering requirements repository in IBM DOORS NG, maintaining configuration control, and ensuring synchronization with external systems and design activities to support design compliance, traceability, and alignment across all project teams and design activities
• Contribute to Requirements Analysis, Decomposition, Traceability, and appropriate allocation of Requirements to responsible design teams.
• Ensuring changes to the Project Agreement and all associated documentation are captured and referenced in DOORS NG in line with the Change Management process.
• To develop and maintain relationships with members of the Rail Systems Practice and the greater Rail & Transit Practice
• Responsible for V&V activities and aligh with project life cycle.
• Develop and maintain Requirements management and Interface Management processes that ensures quality of delivery.
• Develop and work with key delivery partners and service providers for projects.
• Engage with end clients as and when necessary.
• Write, update, and maintain Requirements Management Plans, Interface management plans for new and existing projects.
• Apply lessons learned and advise on necessary corrective actions for ongoing projects.
• Delivery of high quality, verifiable requirements to support all stages of a Project life cycle.

Candidate Specification

• Proven ability to work successfully in multi-disciplinary teams and across different business units.
• Experience in different Phases of the Engineering Design Life Cycle, V-model. Basic knowledge of civil, structural, track, mechanical and electrical design for railway construction is preferred
• Familiarity with signalling, SCADA, Communications, Traction Power Design, and Overhead Catenary Systems is an asset.
• Degree in Engineering
• 7 - 12 years’ progressive experience in System Engineering, Requirement Management, Interface management.
• Demonstrable strength in a minimum of IEC 15288: 2015
• Experience with DOORS Next Generation.
• INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification is desirable.
• RAMS experience is desireable.
• Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or P.Eng. License desireable.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Systems Engineering process and principles.
• Good interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi- disciplined team.
• Able to hold competent technical discussions with Client representatives
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.

Fluent communication skills, presentation skills, and report writing.
