Senior Strategist, Trust and Safety Analysis

The Shopping team within Trust and Safety is recruiting individuals to work with technologies in order to keep users safe on Google Shopping. As part of this team, you will develop and manage cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Product and Operations teams in a multifaceted effort to improve our processes for identifying and resolving policy and safety issues. On this team, you will be a strategic leader responsible for the end-to-end execution of complex projects with a group of stakeholders. You will understand the user's point of view and be passionate about using your combined technical and business acumen to protect our users. You will be responsible to analyze market trends, set forward-looking strategy, and implement scaled solutions to solve user safety issues, to ensure a high-quality user experience across Shopping products.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

• Ideate and manage impact strategies which increase user safety or improve user experience on Google Shopping in partnership with senior stakeholders from Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Policy, Sales and other Trust and Safety teams.
• Perform investigative fraud and abuse analysis, producing insights and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for new signals, automation, workflow improvements and operational efficiency gains. Subsequently drive solutions to completion.
• Support global partnerships with senior stakeholders across teams and act as a reliable domain expert for them.
• Participate in the regular on-call coverage rotation to resolve sensitive issues and escalations.
