Job Description

Role Overview: As a member of the Shopping team within Trust and Safety at Google, you will play a crucial role in utilizing technologies to ensure the safety of users on Google Shopping. Your responsibilities will involve developing and managing relationships with various teams to enhance processes for identifying and resolving policy and safety issues. You will be leading complex projects, understanding user perspectives, and utilizing your technical and business expertise to safeguard users and improve user experience on Shopping products. Key Responsibilities: - Ideate and manage impact strategies in collaboration with senior stakeholders from Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Policy, Sales, and other Trust and Safety teams to enhance user safety and experience on Google Shopping. - Conduct investigative fraud and abuse analysis to generate insights and recommendations. - Identify opportunities for new signals, automation, workflow enhancements, and operational efficiency improvements, and drive solutions to completion. - Support global partnerships with senior stakeholders and serve as a domain expert for them. - Participate in the regular on-call coverage rotation to address sensitive issues and escalations. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 4 years of experience in delivering analysis projects and working on open-ended problems. - 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or a related field. - Master's degree in a related field (preferred). - Experience with machine learning. - Proficiency in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python). - Ability to solve unstructured business problems, particularly in fraud investigations and risk management. - Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels. - Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
