Job Overview:

As a Senior Strategist at Plum Insights, you will drive the strategic direction of our projects, ensuring they are executed with excellence. Your expertise will be central to developing insightful, research-backed strategies that resonate with clients, building strong relationships and contributing to business growth.

Key Result Areas:

• Project Delivery:

• Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality outputs and cost-effective delivery.
• Identify client needs at the outset, eliminate ambiguities, and collaborate with the Project Management (PM) team to develop effective project plans.

Client Management & Relationship Building:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, inspiring confidence through strategic insight and effective communication.
• Maintain and expand client relationships by delivering detailed, incisive debriefs and innovative solutions that address client needs

Business Development:

• Lead outreach efforts and craft winning proposals that contribute to a robust, profitable pipeline.
• Present proposals convincingly to clients and work collaboratively with the team to refine and finalize deliverables.

Project Coordination & Execution:

• Act as the key coordinator on projects, ensuring clear communication of deliverables and deadlines with both internal teams and external freelancers (e.g., moderators, designers, translators).
• Collaborate closely with research partners or supervise the PM liaison to ensure all practical project aspects—such as sample recruitment, fieldwork, and briefing meetings—are managed flawlessly.

Analysis & Reporting:

• Lead analysis sessions to develop a strong point of view on key themes, emerging issues, and actionable recommendations.
• Moderate research interviews and focus group discussions using a variety of techniques to gather rich, qualitative data.
• Develop clear, visually compelling draft reports (or full debriefs on smaller projects) using PowerPoint, integrating insights into strategic recommendations.
• Deliver dynamic debrief sessions and client presentations with clarity and conviction.

• Cost Management:

• Work with the PM team to ensure all projects are executed optimizing resources without compromising quality.

Marketing and Business Development:

• In response to client briefs, author and present research proposals that highlight our strategic insights and innovative approach.
• Contribute to the development and management of a repository of case studies and methodologies for use across offline and online channels.
• Write cultural think pieces and blogs for our social channels to establish Plum Insights as a thought leader in the industry.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 6-10 years of experience in strategic roles, preferably within market research, consumer insights, or related fields.
• Proven track record of successful project management and client relationship building.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and present strategic insights in a compelling manner.
• Proficiency in creating visually engaging presentations (e.g., PowerPoint) and detailed reports.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
