Senior Software Quality Analyst

Role & Responsibilities

● Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC.

● Analyze requirements (user stories, use cases) to design effective and detailed test

cases.

● Create and execute manual test cases for functional, integration, regression, and

exploratory testing.

● Manage all testing activities (Functional, Regression etc.) and ensure their

deliveries are aligned with project timelines.

● Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla,

or equivalent.

● Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.

● Assist in creating test plans and identifying testing scope, objectives, and

deliverables for each sprint/release.

● Participate in risk analysis and suggest areas requiring more extensive testing.

● Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure

a clear understanding of requirements.

● Provide QA support during development and release cycles.

● Prepare and present test execution reports, defect summaries, and other QA

metrics to stakeholders.

● Identify gaps in the current QA processes and suggest improvements.

● Learn and adapt to new testing tools or techniques as needed.

● Work directly with the clients and own the resolution of contentious issues.

Required Skill-Set

● Attention to detail.

● Knowledge of testing within an Agile/Kanban development environment.

● Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, processes, and tools.

● Experience testing across multiple platforms (web, mobile, and desktop

applications).

● Proficient in API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.

● Experience in Non-Functional Testing like compatibility, compliance and usability

testing.

● Good understanding of databases with the ability to write and execute SQL

queries for validation.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

● Demonstrate expertise & rapidly incorporate new technologies wherever required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
