About the Role

Senior Software Engineer (Data Platform)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines and transformation workflows.
• Work with Snowflake, DBT, Python, and SQL to build robust data models and reusable components.
• Implement version control, branching, and CI/CD best practices using Git.
• Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior engineers when required.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues, pipeline failures, and performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to improving data governance, documentation, and engineering standards.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience in

  Snowflake

  (data warehousing, Snowflake SQL, performance tuning)
• Hands-on expertise with

  DBT (Data Build Tool)

• Solid programming skills in

  Python

• Advanced proficiency in

  SQL

  (query optimization, data modeling)
• Experience with

  Git

  and version-control workflows
• Background in building and maintaining data pipelines in production environments

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Azure Data Factory

• ETL tools

  and pipeline orchestration frameworks

• AWS Glue

• Experience with BI tools:

  Tableau, Power BI

• Understanding of

  Prompt Engineering

  / AI-assisted workflows

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred)
