Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain scalable services for the core VideoDB product.

* Design and enhance distributed systems to maximize performance and scalability.

* Collaborate cross-functionally to implement features and ensure high standards of code quality and system reliability.

Technical Skills Required:

* Programming: Proficiency in Python; experience with other languages is a plus.

* Video Tech: Basic experience with FFmpeg and low-level video/audio libraries; knowledge of video codecs, streaming, etc., is an advantage.

* Distributed Systems: Proven track record of building and maintaining distributed, high-performing systems.

* Cloud: Expertise in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

* Databases: Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

* Operating Systems: Strong Linux environment experience.

Bonus Skills 

 * Proficiency in low-level programming languages as needed.

 * Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks.
