As a Sr. SOC (Cyber Defense) Specialist at Juspay, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's digital infrastructure from cyber threats. You will be responsible for implementing and managing cybersecurity measures to detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will develop and execute strategies to mitigate risks, enhance security posture, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.The pace of our growth is incredible – if you want to tackle hard and interesting problems at scale, and create an impact within an entrepreneurial environment, join us!

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and analyze security events and incidents to identify threats and vulnerabilities.

2. Conduct threat hunting and proactive security assessments to detect and mitigate potential risks.

3. Implement and manage security technologies, including firewalls, intrusions detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.

4. Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to ensure timely and effective response to security incident

5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement security controls and best practices across the organization.

6. Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to continuously improve cyber defense capabilities.

7. Conduct security awareness training and education programs for employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness in the field of cyber defense

8. Automate day to day cyber defence operational activities.

Skill & experience Requirements

1. 2-5 years of experience in the SOC domain preferably AWS will overlap into the fie of Information Security.

2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field

3. Proven experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or related roles.

4. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and standards.

5. Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, etc.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security incidents and recommend effective solution

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team

8. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) preferred

9. Experience in product based startups is an added advantage.

10. Independent, self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with teams ranging from product, administration to engineering and infra.

11. Contributions to the security community is a huge plus and shouldn’t be a tool Junkie!
