Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for leading all quality assurance, in-process inspections, and control activities for power transformer manufacturing. Your role involves ensuring product conformance to customer specifications, industry standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI), and internal quality management systems (ISO 9001). You will drive Quality checks/control, continuous improvement, lead root cause analysis, implement corrective/preventive actions, and support customer audits and technical reviews. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, design, and customer requirements. - Develop and maintain quality procedures, inspection standards, and in-process test protocols. - Supervise in-process quality checks of internal assembly and inspect all critical areas of the assembly. - Lead investigations for non-conformances, failures, and customer complaints. - Drive quality and process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in quality management within power transformer manufacturing. - Strong understanding of transformer design, testing standards (IEC/IEEE/ANSI), and manufacturing processes. - Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001) preferred. - Experience with RCA, CAPA, and quality tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC). Additional Details: - Knowledge of insulation systems, core and coil manufacturing, and assembly is a plus. - Hands-on experience with in-process testing and troubleshooting is beneficial. - Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems for quality data management would be advantageous.,
