They are responsible for executing project management plans, collaborating closely with organizational leaders, and delivering projects that support the company's strategic vision and roadmap. Typically assigned to small to medium-sized projects of moderate complexity, the Senior Project Manager ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget, driving business outcomes. Their role also includes coordinating resources and schedules across various business areas, managing issues, risks, and change requests to guarantee successful and timely project delivery. Additionally, they contribute to ongoing process improvements related to program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure alignment with business unit goals (5%)
- Develop status reports covering project achievements, dependencies, risks, and issues for communication at various leadership levels (5%)
- Understand interdependencies among technology, operations, and business needs (5%)
- Navigate and address the motivations and requirements of internal and business partners (5%)
- Engage with leadership teams, product managers, and support specialists on project issues and progress (5%)
- Serve as a mentor and resource for project managers (5%)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with all company policies and standards
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
Work Experience
- Typically 5+ years of related experience
Licenses and Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (required)
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in issue management and customer relations
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation abilities
- Capacity to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective project management skills
- Logical, detail-oriented, and focused on accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) industry is desired
