Position Overview

The Senior Production engineer is responsible for managing the daily operations and staff within the production, screen, and ink departments. This role ensures that all processes are carried out efficiently, quality standards are met, and production targets are achieved. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient with all facility machinery and processes, capable of performing settings, primary maintenance, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal workflow and machine performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

· Leadership & Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team. Allocate tasks and monitor workflow to ensure targets are met. Manage staff schedules, assist in hiring, and resolve on-the-floor disputes. Train new and existing staff to enhance their skills.

· Technical & Operational Excellence: Independently operate, set up, and troubleshoot all production machinery. Perform primary maintenance and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Maintain a deep knowledge of the screen-printing process.

· Quality, Safety & Process Improvement: Monitor product quality and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency. Uphold all health and safety standards and promote the 5S methodology.

Required Skills & Competencies

· Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of screen-printing processes, machinery, and materials.

· Leadership: Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate a diverse team.

· Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and process-related issues.

· Quality Control: A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

· Communication: Clear and effective communication skills for reporting to management and directing staff.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualification

Diploma in Printing Technology any Engineering Degree, or any Graduate degree.

Experience

2-4 years of experience in a supervisory capacity within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous experience in the printing industry is a significant advantage.
