Work with a world class team to provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database Administration support for production systems and provide DBA services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database production support. Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user productivity.Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Because of substantial customer interfacing, a demonstrated ability to work with customers on an independent basis with exceptional communication skills, while consistently achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction is essential
Responsibilities
10+ years PRODUCTION experience working as an Oracle DBA, in an enterprise environmentKnowledge of Automation lifecycle and tools (ATOM, Ansible, etc) is a plusMonitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methodsExcellent working knowledge in DB patchingThorough knowledge of DB Performance, SQL TuningStrong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQLWork with Product Management, Product Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, and Data Engineering teams to find the optimal way to scale applications and the infrastructureTroubleshoot and resolve performance issues at the database and application levelsAbility to develop and troubleshoot shell scripts as needed.Thorough Knowledge in RMAN and backup processes and operarionThorough Knowledge in Oracle Database RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Golden Gate and Performance tuningWorking on Golden Gate is a plusOverall knowledge in Cloud ComputingExperience in any Unix shell script, Perl script and PythonExpertise in backup and recovery and migration using RMAN, datapump and export/importDemonstrate extensive knowledge of Exadata operations (patching, upgrades, node addition, storage cell addition and storage configuration)Working knowledge with Curl, Docker ContainersWorking knowledge in DB migrations (Commodity to Cloud)Working RAC/GRID Control (install, upgrade, tuning)Qualifications
