Senior Merchandiser(Factory)

Department: Operations – Merchandising

Reporting To: Operations Head

Location: Vasai Factory (with visits to HO Malad as required)

Work Days & Timings: 6 days, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

Compensation: ₹6 LPA – ₹8 LPA

Experience: 6–10 years in garment merchandising, preferably with export house background

Role Purpose

The Senior Merchandiser will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of product development and production – from proto and fit approvals to bulk production and final dispatch. This role ensures on-time approvals, accurate costing, smooth vendor coordination, and zero-quality issues, acting as a key link between the fashion design team, sourcing, production, and operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Product Development & Sampling

• Oversee proto, fit, size set, and PP sample approvals in coordination with the fashion design team.
• Ensure all samples meet quality, fit, and cost expectations before bulk handover.

2. BOM, Costing & Trim Sourcing

• Prepare Bills of Material (BOMs), consumption sheets, and costing reports.
• Source and finalize trims, ensuring timely approvals and deliveries.

3. Production & T&A Management

• Develop and track Time & Action (T&A) calendars with the production manager.
• Follow up daily with job workers/vendors to ensure smooth production flow.
• Maintain WIP tracking and ensure all milestones are met.

4. Quality Control & Dispatch

• Coordinate with QC teams for inline inspections and final quality checks.
• Ensure finished goods meet standards and are dispatched on time to warehouses/stores.

5. Team & ERP Coordination

• Lead the fashion design team and junior merchandisers for timely execution.
• Update and monitor ERP entries for BOMs, T&A, and order tracking.

Required Skills & Tools

• Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing & merchandising cycles.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Absolute ERP, Deskera, etc.).
• Advanced Excel skills for costing, order tracking, and T&A management.
• Solid understanding of tech packs, garment construction, and quality standards.

Experience & Qualifications

• 6–10 years in garment merchandising, preferably with export house background.
• Degree/Diploma in Apparel Production, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
• Proven track record of managing multiple orders and vendors simultaneously.

• Strong vendor/job worker negotiation & coordination skills.
• Ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally with design & production.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
