Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, specification, selection, and engineering of

  rotating equipment

  : pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, blowers, fans, etc. and mechanical packages.
• Review and approve vendor documentation, datasheets, P&IDs, and engineering drawings.
• Prepare and review technical documents including

  equipment specifications, datasheets, material requisitions

  , and

  technical bid evaluations

  .
• Ensure equipment follows

  international codes and standards

  (API 610, API 617, API 618, ASME, ISO, etc.).
• Conduct technical bid evaluations and support procurement processes.
• Perform

  mechanical calculations

  , stress analysis, and vibration analysis (in coordination with specialists).
• Troubleshoot operational issues related to rotating equipment during FEED, EPC, commissioning, or operations.
• Collaborate with process, instrumentation, piping, and civil teams to ensure mechanical integrity.
• Lead FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests), SAT (Site Acceptance Tests), and commissioning activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, datasheets, maintenance strategies, and reliability assessments.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

  (master’s preferred for senior roles).

• 10+ years

  of experience in mechanical rotating equipment within the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Deep knowledge of rotating equipment engineering design, operation, and maintenance.
• Experience with

  EPC / FEED / Brownfield / Greenfield

  projects.
• Proficiency in engineering tools and software such as

  SAP, ANSYS, CAESAR II, COMOS, Auto PIPE

  , or vendor-specific selection software.
• Familiar with industry standards:

  API (610, 617, 618, 672, etc.), ASME, ANSI, ISO, NACE

  .
• Strong communication and vendor management skills.
• Experience working with OEMs like

  Siemens, GE, MAN, Dresser-Rand, Sulzer, Flowserve

  , etc.
