BIM/CAD TECHNICIAN (DRY UTILITIES)

Responsibilities:

• Experience in BIM Software (Civil3D & Navisworks)
• Knowledge of CAD/BIM standards.
• Must have experience on the use of computer aided drafting software, such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD etc.
• Good knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, with experience of clash detection/Resolution and producing clash report.
• Prepare electrical MV & LV cable and substation drawings.
• Prepare telecom drawings.
• Prepare street lighting drawings.
• Prepare CCTV drawings.
• Prepare single line diagram & Load Schedule Drawings.
• Prepare Building wiring, lighting drawings.
• Work closely with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure the project’s compliance with the given policies and processes, and to ensure timely implementation and completion
• Works with BIM lead, Design Leads and Engineers to develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures, and to ensure timely implementation and completion.
• Using BIM software and tools to coordinate design documentation.
• Understand BIM modeling process and able to manage all BIM related activities from project start up to project completion
• Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards, in accordance to company QA/QC process
• Good knowledge in content creation and able to create different types of parametric and non-parametric families
• Good knowledge in BIM, understand LOD requirements and BIM processes.
• Prepare technical drafting and modeling drawings for the infrastructure (Dry Utilities) Division.
• Collaboration and coordination with other disciplines on design changes and model development tasks.
• Liaise with Project Engineers on information requirements, project progress, and any potential delays.
• Utilizing Civil3D and Navisworks to coordinate interference/clash detection and resolutions.
• Creating engineering drawings based on concepts, sketches, and requirements.
• Contribute to the effective functioning of the team by identifying with and contributing to the team’s objectives, communicating and sharing knowledge.
• Supports wet utility team.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
