Senior Manual Tester

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Manual Tester with a strong foundation in software and system-level testing. This position requires hands-on experience in preparing and executing test cases, defect tracking, and ensuring quality delivery of internal business systems and applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with software developers, ERP specialists, and process owners to validate functionality, performance, and usability across systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute detailed manual test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications.
• Perform regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing across web-based and desktop applications.
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect tracking systems and coordinate with developers for resolution.
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to ensure thorough understanding of project requirements.
• Validate ERP custom modules, manufacturing workflows, and data consistency across systems.
• Review and suggest improvements in testing processes, tools, and documentation practices.
• Create and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, scenarios, and summary reports.
• Participate in review meetings and support post-deployment validation activities.
• Analyze root causes of issues and work on enhancing testing coverage.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards and project deadlines.
  

Primary Skills

• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC with proven manual testing experience.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test scenarios, test cases, and UAT scripts.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or equivalent bug tracking systems.
• Ability to test manufacturing workflows, ERP modules (SAP, Oracle, or custom-built).
• Good understanding of database testing and SQL basics.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• ISTQB Foundation or equivalent certification is preferred.
  

Experience

• 1–5 years of experience in manual testing, preferably in ERP, manufacturing systems, or enterprise business applications.
